The U.S.S. Darwin is an upgraded Oberth Class vessel. Like all Beagle class starships she serves basically the same purpose as the original Oberth Class, although some major improvements and changes have been made to her systems.
Her computer systems have been enhanced by semi-biological neurological gel-packs that serve as the primary command/interface nodules, similar to those of Intrepid Class starships, improving the computer-capacity by 26.87 percent.
In addition, some changes have been made to her sensor array, greatly improving the range in long-range sensor mode and the resolution in detailed scans.
Improvements in limiting power-usage have also been made, enhancing engergy-conservation by as much as 41.35 percent.
Special thanks to Neil Dodge and Josh Fink for helping me with the specs and the Beagle Class pictures. Without them, this ship would probably be nothing more than a huge pile of tritanium and imagination. J
